Fenergo: Building AI into software delivery
Fenergo is pairing AI adoption with a new product and engineering operating model. Its Forge program is helping teams deliver faster while a new agent layer brings AI into regulated client lifecycle workflows.

Changing how teams work
Software companies are rethinking how they build products as AI changes both the pace and economics of development. At Fenergo, the response is the Forge: a service model that combines AI adoption with changes to the product development lifecycle.
The aim is practical. Teams can move from an idea to code, testing and delivery in hours rather than days or weeks. Faster cycles also create a tighter feedback loop. Fenergo can see what works, correct what does not and apply those lessons to the next release.
Moving from pilot to scale
One example is Fenergo's data sourcing agents. They bring information from multiple sources into a richer customer profile. AI helped the team bring forward a capability that had originally sat further out on the product roadmap.
Fenergo has now launched six initial agent types, including data sourcing and classification. An early-adopter program includes eight Tier 1 financial institutions. As of February 2026, its agents had generated more than EUR 0.5 million in annual recurring revenue across 13 pilot clients.
The longer-term opportunity is significant. Fenergo estimates that AI agents could reduce compliance workload by 60 to 80 percent. Delivery still has to be safe, compliant and cost-effective, particularly for technology used by leading financial institutions.
Fenergo X Astorg
- Fenergo employs around 640 people across 16 offices and serves divisions of 32 of the world's 50 largest financial institutions.
- The Forge is one expression of a wider partnership. Since investing alongside Bridgepoint and Fenergo’s management team in 2021, Astorg has supported a strategy focused on SaaS, product innovation and international growth.
- Fenergo is also one of several portfolio companies working with Astorg’s Digital, Tech & Data Operations team to test AI-first product and engineering practices and share lessons across the portfolio.

For us, the lesson is clear. AI creates more value when the technology and the operating model change together.
Three Astorg portfolio companies are also building the Forge program together, testing it live and sharing what they learn.
