Europe benefiting as investors rebalance portfolios
Astorg's Jean Raby says the valuation gap between the U.S. and Europe is as high as it has ever been, but investors have an increasing appetite for Europe.

Jean Raby joined Astorg in 2022 and is responsible for Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Business Development.
Prior to joining Astorg, Jean was a Founding Sponsor and Co-CEO of Odyssey Acquisition, a special purpose acquisition company listed on Euronext Amsterdam, which merged with BenevolentAI in 2022. Following the transaction, he joined the board of directors of the combined entity. From 2017 to 2021, he served as CEO of Natixis Investment Managers and Head of Asset and Wealth Management for Natixis. Before that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Legal Officer of Alcatel-Lucent.
Jean spent nearly two decades at Goldman Sachs, which he joined in 1996 in Paris. He was named Managing Director in 2002, Partner in 2004, and later became Co-Head - then sole Head- of Investment Banking in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. In 2011, he was appointed Co-Head of the firm’s operations in Russia.
Jean began his career as a corporate lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Paris. He is a retired member of the New York Bar and currently serves on the board of directors of BenevolentAI.
Jean is based in Paris and is a graduate of Université Laval, the University of Cambridge, and Harvard Law School.
