Xavier Moreno co-founded Astorg in 1998 when he led the spin-off from the Suez group.
He is a member of the Investment team and has been involved in numerous transactions including CIS, ONDULINE, STACI, TRESCAL, GRAS SAVOYE and SAVERGLASS.
From 1991 to 1998 he was Senior Vice-President at Suez, in charge of all investments in Industry, including the private equity activities and the chairmanship of Astorg Cie d'Investissement, a then wholly-owned Suez investment arm.
Before that, he spent 6 years at Sanofi, as Head of the Agro-Vet division and member of the Executive Committee.
Xavier started his professional life in 1976 at the French Treasury, in the Ministy of Finance, where he held several senior positions including the financing and monitoring of state-owned industrial companies. In 1981 and 1982 he was Financial Counsellor to the French Embassy in Brazil.
Xavier is a member of the Board of Ingenico, the payment systems company.
He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, and Ecole Nationale d'Administration.
