Astorg Expands its Portfolio Performance Team with Two Senior Hires

Astorg’s Portfolio Performance team’s mission is to partner with the investment teams and further accelerate the long-term growth and performance of its portfolio companies, leveraging transformational generalist capabilities and functional playbooks across some of the core areas contributing to enhancing performance, such as operations, finance, ESG and digital. Keith and Markus will work alongside Astorg’s Head of ESG, Viviana Occhionorelli, and Head of Digital, Valérie Legat.

As Astorg pursues its core objective of building and growing leading global B2B niche leader businesses, these appointments reflect the firm's commitment to continuing to expand its portfolio performance function with a comprehensive and integrated approach to further elevate value creation.

With 25 years of experience leading business operations and transformation, Keith is well-positioned to drive tailored operational transformations across companies, accelerating their development. Markus has over three decades of experience optimizing financial processes, and he will be integral to ensuring robust financial health across Astorg’s portfolio, working closely with the investment teams.

Prior to joining Astorg, Keith spent over a decade at McKinsey & Company where he helped to establish the firm’s McKinsey Transformation business. Prior to that, Keith held various consulting advisory roles including at Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP, and Gemini Consulting, with a focus on turnaround and performance improvement situations. Keith holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management from Imperial College, London.

In his previous role, Markus was the Global Finance Practice Lead and part of the Operational Excellence Team at Apax Partners. He later took on the role of CFO at its portfolio company, EcoOnline. Prior to that, Markus held CFO roles at Britax and Hünnebeck, as well as overseeing Operational Finance at Sun European Partners. Markus holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Augsburg.
